A Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) is usually requested by the Local Planning Authority for sites in close proximity to specially protected places such as SPA's, SAC's, Ramsar sites, and others. This assessment takes all of these sites into account and determines if the proposed works are due to impact them. If so we reccomend how to mitigate these impacts and/or balance this with ecological enhancement.
