For an Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) we can base it off a previous survey or do our own survey. An EcIA report is essentially a more detailed version of a PEA and it is usually requested by the Local Planning Authority when the site is particularly large or contains important natural areas such as ponds or ancient woodland. The aim of the survey and report is to identify everything on site and determine if the proposed plans are due to impact the sites ecology, how much, and what can be mitigated.
